Olivia Wilde shows off new shaggy bangs after previous ‘French Girl’ bangs

Olivia Wilde Summer kicks off with a bang…literally! The actress unveiled a chic new fringe.

The 39-year-old film director’s hair stylist, Mara Roszak, took to Instagram to show off Wilde’s fresh pork chop on Sunday, June 4. “What do we call this pony?” the beauty guru captioned the New York native’s selfie. In an instant, Wilde smiled into the camera and drew attention to her fresh face-framing strands that completely covered her forehead.

Roszak’s comment section has since quickly been filled with praise. “Well, call them flawless!!” a fan wrote. “I call them terribly hot!” a second social media user commented while a third added, “Just when I thought she couldn’t get any prettier… I’m fed up.”

Two days later, on Tuesday, June 6, Wilde showed off the cut via her own Instagram story House alum could be seen posing in a mirror with her hair tied back in a ponytail, allowing her bangs to draw attention.

This wasn’t Wilde’s first time experimenting with bangs. Earlier this year, the Babylon star debuted a hair transformation inspired by Parisian women at the Fashion Trust US Awards in Los Angeles.

“BANGS…but the one you need,” Roszak captioned the March 21 social media post, which showed Wilde’s haircut. “OLIVIA with what I call a ‘French girl bang’. It is a very light, long fringe that flows into a jaw-length layer, creating a flattering sculpted shape around the face. Perfect if you throw your hair up.”

On the red carpet, Wilde’s crown was styled in a shabby but trendy updo with her freshly cut tendrils flowing down her face. The On time star paired the hairdo with dramatic glamor including heavy liner, making her blue eyes pop. Moreover, she rocked rosy cheeks and a soft pink lip.

Wilde also made a statement with her outfit, donning a long black dress by Chloé. The robe included a turtleneck, wide sleeves and a flared skirt. She completed the ensemble with a pair of leather platform boots.

The Her The star’s curtain bangs were short-lived, however, as she appeared to have grown out of them at the 2023 Met Gala. For the May Day soirée celebrating the life and career of Karl Lagerfeld, Wilde wore her golden locks in loose curls, parted in the middle.

She paired the hairstyle with a Chloé white cut-out dress that was inspired by a garment Lagerfeld designed for Chanel. That night, Wilde became a trending topic after she was spotted in the same dress as Vogue China editor-in-chief Margaret Zhang. The journalist chose the design in black.
