Patrick and Sunny celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary in September 2023 – officiated by Sir Ian McKellen.

They met in 2008 at Franny's restaurant in New York, where Ozell worked as a waitress.

He was working in the area at the time, acting in Macbeth at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Patrick is best known for his roles in X Men and Star Trek.

In X Men, from 2000 to 2022, he played Professor Charles Francis Xavier, a paralyzed 'mutant' with the ability to control people with his mind.

Patrick joined the cast of Star Trek in 1987 as Jean-Luc Picard, the captain of the Federation starship USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D).

He reprized his role of Jean-Luc in the 2020 series Star Trek: Picard, much to the delight of King Charles III.

Patrick hasn't acted since the series ended in 2023, and it's unknown if he has any projects in the works.

Patrick was married twice before Sunny: first to Sheila Falconer, from 1966 until their divorce in 1990, and second to Wendy Neuss from 2000 to 2003, when they divorced.

He has both children from his marriage to Sheila, daughter Sophia and a son Daniel, who enjoyed an acting career.

Patrick has said in the past that he has a “non-existent” relationship with his children and regrets the large amounts of time he spent without them.

He told Daily news from New York: 'If I was lucky, I would see my children on Sunday.'
