Peepshow actress Sophie Winkleman looks happy with Lord Frederick Windsor on a night out

Lady Frederick Windsor enjoyed a night on the town with her husband last night as they attended the Victoria and Albert Museum’s summer party in London.

Actress Sophie Winkleman, 42, best known for playing Big Suze on the sitcom Peep Show alongside David Mitchell and Robert Webb, is the wife of Frederick, the son of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, who is 52nd in line for the throne.

Since the couple tied the knot 13 years ago, mother-of-two Sophie has become a regular at royal events, most recently joining senior royals at the Duchess of Cambridge’s Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey.

And the pair enjoyed a rare night out on the town yesterday when they attended the event in central London alongside fellow royal Lady Amelia Windsor.

Sophie appeared particularly cheerful as she left the event – she gave her husband a kiss before getting into a taxi with a friend, while Frederick was on his way to another event.

The actress put on a neat green dress for the occasion, which she combined with large sunglasses.

Meanwhile, Frederick opted for a smart black suit with a baby blue tie.

After saying goodbye to her husband, Sophie got into a taxi with a friend who happened to drop by to pick her up and gave him a warm hug as they left.

Officially open to the public from June 24, the exhibition ‘DIVA’ at the V&A would celebrate the ‘power of iconic artists to transform and inspire’, as well as explore the ‘intersection of women, strength and creativity through the prism of achievement’ .

The event will showcase more than 250 objects ranging from fashion, photography, design and music.

Trinny Woodall, Vick Hope and Nicola Roberts also attended the event last night.

The half-sister of TV presenter Claudia Winkleman – their father was publisher Barry Winkleman – was educated at the private City of London School for Girls before taking an English degree at Cambridge University.

Sophie, who now lives in Chelsea, married Lord Freddie at Hampton Court Palace in September 2009, after meeting him on a night out in Soho.

The couple lived in Los Angeles for seven years – after moving there for her career the day after their wedding in 2009.

Her husband worked for his bank, JP Morgan, while she took on some decent roles, including Zoey, the girlfriend of Ashton Kutcher’s character Walden in Two And A Half Men.

She also wrote screenplays for Salma Hayek and Penélope Cruz.

The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Maud Elizabeth Daphne Marina, in August 2013, and daughter, Isabella Alexandra May, was born in January 2016.

The couple moved back to Britain after having their children, as Sophie was eager to be closer to her family.

She had a rough first year of motherhood after contracting a hospital virus while giving birth to Isabella that left her unwell for a year.

Maud and Isabella were among her sister-in-law Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston’s five bridesmaids when they wed in May 2019 – having already attended the bridal party for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s nuptials in October.

The past six months have been a busy period for Sophie, who joined other senior members of the Royal Family at a number of high-profile events, including those celebrating the late Queen’s jubilee and her funeral in September.

Meanwhile, she also joined the royals at Kate’s Christmas carol concert in December, where she rubbed shoulders with Mike and Zara Tindall.

At the end of last year she wrote a personal piece The Spectatoabout her joining the Royal Family and her experience within The Firm.

She said: “I cherish my growing relationship with the senior members of the royal family who are so hardworking, uncomplaining and courageous in the face of relentless and relentless media attention, criticism, lies, subversion and fictional TV programs – and always so good to do. me that I am honored to know them.’

Elsewhere, Sophie explained how she and her family will be spending Christmas in London, saying: “We’ll be seeing my parents on Christmas Day and some of my husband Freddie’s relations in various locations.”

She also revealed how she was inspired by the late Queen’s Christian faith, adding that it “fascinated” her.
