New Delhi: The Gujarat Giants defeated Telugu Titans 37-30 at the DOME by NSCI in Mumbai to move up to second position in the table. Giants defender Deepak Singh collected an impressive 9 tackle points to help his side register a comeback victory. The Titans, meanwhile, remain at the bottom of the standings and are now on a four-game losing streak.

Sehrawat kicked off the match and registered a SUPER RAID immediately after the whistle to put his team ahead. A long back and forth ensued, with both teams trading raids at regular intervals. The Titan’s raids were hugely reliant on Sehrawat and true to form, he registered more than half of his team’s attacking points in the first half.

While the Giants’ formidable defense kept the Titans on their toes, in the final five minutes of the half it was the Titans’ defense that kept them alive. Facing an all-out, Titans raider S Sanjeevi took advantage of a series of errors from the Giants defense to stay in the match. From there they produced three SUPER TACKLES, one after the other, not only to avoid an all-out but also to maintain the lead at the break.

Despite that first-half resistance, it didn’t take long for the Giants to inflict the first ALL OUT of the game in the second period, as the Titans saw their lead cut to one point.

The lead didn’t last long as the Giants ramped up their gameplay, and the Titans in turn faltered. Too many defensive errors and their inability to revive Sehrawat saw them suffer a second ALL OUT with less than a quarter of the match to play. Once in the lead, the Giants did not loosen their grip as they achieved a brilliant and deserved come-from-behind victory.
