As part of the election campaign in five states, Prime Minister Modi will visit Telangana on March 4 where he will lay the foundation stone of several development projects.

Lok Sabha elections 2024: As preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections started in full swing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the development works to be inaugurated during his upcoming visit to five states – Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal and Bihar – will have a wide cover the range. of sectors and will transform several lives.

The visit to the five states starts today

Taking to social media, Prime Minister Modi said, “In the next two days, I will be attending various programs in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha and West Bengal. The development works that will commence will cover a wide range of sectors and will transform several lives.”

As part of the five-state election campaign, Prime Minister Modi will visit Telangana on March 4 where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over Rs 56,000 crore during a public program in Adilabad. On the same day, the Prime Minister will visit BHAVINI in Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu. The Prime Minister’s Office said the main focus of the projects will be on the energy sector.

Telangana Super Thermal Power project is launched

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate NTPC’s 800 MW (Unit-2) Telangana Super Thermal Power Project at Peddapalli, Telangana. The PMO mentioned that the project, based on ultra-supercritical technology, will supply 85 percent of power to Telangana and will have the highest power generation efficiency among about 42 percent of all NTPC power plants in India. The foundation stone of the project was also laid by the Prime Minister.

On March 5, Prime Minister Modi will visit Sangareddy in Telangana where he will inaugurate the foundation stone and lay the foundation stone of several development projects worth Rs 6,800 crore. On the same day, the Prime Minister will leave for Chandikhole in Odisha where he will unveil development projects worth Rs 19,600 crore.

Projects worth Rs 15,400 Crore are inaugurated in Kolkata

On the third day of his visit to the five states, Prime Minister Modi will visit West Bengal where he will unveil projects worth Rs 15,400 crore in Kolkata. Thereafter, the Prime Minister will leave for Bihar where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several projects worth around Rs 12,800 crore in Bettiah.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of Singrauli Super Thermal Power Project, Stage III (2×800 MW) in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh; Flue gas CO2 to 4G ethanol plant at Lara, Raigarh in Chhattisgarh; Seawater to green hydrogen plant at Simhadri, Visakhapatnam, in Andhra Pradesh; and the fly ash-based FALG aggregates plant at Korba, Chhattisgarh.

PM Modi inaugurates seven other projects

The Prime Minister will inaugurate seven projects and also lay the foundation stone of one project of the Power Grid Corporation of India. He will also lay the foundation for Bundelkhand Saur Urja Limited’s (BSUL) 1200 MW Jalaun Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh.

“The park will generate around 2,400 million units of electricity every year,” the PMO said, adding that the Prime Minister will also inaugurate three solar power projects of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) in Jalaun and Kanpur Dehat in Uttar Pradesh.
