Senior Constable Lamarre-Condon, who once dated Mr Baird, was accused of two murders on Friday.

Last Wednesday, he was seen buying an angle grinder and weights, police say.

Former Australian TV presenter Mr Baird and his friend were last seen in Paddingtona suburb of Sydneyon February 19.

A major search was launched for the pair following bloody clothing from the missing couple were found in a bin in Sydney.

On Friday, Lamarre-Condon, 28, turned himself in to police.

But investigators are still looking for the bodies of Mr Baird and Mr Davies.

Police fear the suspect murdered the couple at Baird’s home in Paddington before taking them to a remote property in Bungonia, more than 110 miles away.

Police say Lamarre-Condon could have transported the bodies in a white rental van.

New South Wales Police said the alleged killer took “an acquaintance” to the remote property last Wednesday.

They claim he broke the lock on the gate before leaving the girlfriend there.

He then drove the van onto the property and returned to her at the gate 30 minutes later, police say.

The acquaintance, who has been cooperating with police, said she “didn’t know the bodies were in the vehicle,” Hudson said.

Police fear the bodies of Mr Baird and Mr Davies may have been submerged in a dam at the remote location.

Police are investigating whether Lamarre-Condon later returned and moved the bodies again.

The same day, Lamarre-Condon was seen buying an angle grinder and weights at several stores, police said.

They believe the angle grinder was used to break open the gate.

Police divers were seen searching the area in Bungonia as well looking for a waterway 205 miles away in Newcastle on Saturday.

Police allege Lamarre-Condon used his police baton to kill Mr Baird and Mr Davies at the former TV presenter’s home in Paddington, Sydney, on Monday night before dumping their bodies.

Chief Inspector Daniel Doherty said the officer was on duty at the time but called in sick on Tuesday after the alleged murders.

The detective said “a large amount of blood was found.” crime scene – along with a bullet that matches Lamarre-Condon’s work pistol.

Mr Doherty also confirmed it was white Toyota HiAce was found in Grays Point in Sydney’s south on Friday morning.

Lamarre-Condon was previously in a relationship with Baird and police were told their split was ‘acrimonious’.

Mr Baird has reportedly expressed concerns for his safety, saying he was stalked.

Mr Doherty said there were “no warnings or warnings to us regarding his behavior or any relationship breakdown”.

Celeb hunter Lamarre-Condon was known for taking selfies with famous faces such as Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus And Kim Kardashian.

It is understood he was taking steps to pursue a new career in acting just days before the alleged murders, reports the Mail.

On Saturday, friends and supporters transformed Mr Baird’s home into a temporary memorial, leaving flowers and cards outside to show their support.

Some of the flowers were left on the street, while others were placed on the balustrade outside the terraced house.

One card on the site reads: “Lukey and Jesse.” Rest in peace, guys. We will miss you. “So much.”

Mr Baird’s cousin Austin has also paid tribute, describing his as “one in a million”.

He said: “You cared about everyone and left such an impact on everyone you met.”
