Would you work for this family for €50,000? A chic couple advertises a PA and nanny for their three children, who can make travel bookings, check the toys and teach good table manners

A posh couple from Highgate, north London, are recruiting a £50,000-a-year nanny – and her duties include an audit of the children’s toys.

The parents, who both work nine hours a day in senior professional positions, are seeking help to care for their three children, ages six, eight and 10.

The applicant is expected to care for the couple’s offspring after classes and during school holidays.

The role, which also doubles as a personal assistant, includes cooking a “nutritious dinner” and ensuring they have “good table manners.”

The job hopeful will also have to help the children with their homework, play with them and get involved in arts and crafts.

But other PA duties include creating spreadsheets to help run the household, based in the affluent suburb of Highgate, north London.

The area is popular with numerous celebrities: Harry Styles, Kate Moss and Liam Gallagher have lived there.

Applicants for the job will also need to make travel bookings for the couple.

Another important role is to ‘regularly organize and check children’s toys, clothes and shoes’ and buy new ones when necessary.

The couple is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible and works Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The job summary, advertised by Eden Private Staff, reads: ‘A full-time Nanny/PA vacancy has become available in Highgate for two senior professional parents.

‘All three children go to an educational institution full-time. Therefore the role includes caring for the children after school and during the school holidays.

‘The Personal Assistant element of the role will be a mix of domestic assistant duties and business administration duties.

‘The right candidate is personable, organized and flexible and has experience creating documents and spreadsheets.

‘They have a calm and organized character and can work discreetly while at home.

‘They will enjoy spending time with children and being able to communicate effectively with primary school aged children.

“They will be safety conscious when they have children in their care.”

General duties as a PA, from 10am to 3pm, include: ‘Conduct research online and present the end result in Google Docs or Google Sheets.

‘Organize information into relevant fields in spreadsheets and set up various processes to help run the business and the household.

‘Making online purchases of household and business supplies according to requirements and instructions.

‘Maintaining children’s rooms by regularly organizing and checking children’s toys, clothing and shoes.

‘Purchasing what is needed according to the requirements and discussions.

‘Organizing travel plans and making travel bookings.’

From 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the nanny’s role will include: ‘Picking up children from school, helping the younger child with her homework and reading.

‘Playing with children or doing crafts if time permits.

‘Cooking food where necessary, ensuring children eat a nutritious dinner and encouraging good table manners

‘Making sure children are always safe and happy, washing children or preparing the bath if children do it themselves.

‘Preparing children’s school bags with all the supplies they need for the next morning.’

Applicants are expected to have a DBS check, two to three years’ experience, a driver’s license and computer and cooking skills.
