Kayleigh was thrilled when her postcode DN35 7UG in Cleethorpes took home the lion’s share of a £3.2 million prize.

The winnings earned each neighbor a whopping £145,454, with one neighbor taking home three jackpots.

The school employee’s life changes forever when an employee of the Postcode Lottery knocks on her door.

She says her normal life took a ‘strange’ turn after she got the call from the Postcode Lottery.

Shocked, Kayleigh shared the life-changing news news with her boss at the local primary school.

She said to him: “The Postcode Lottery is on the phone and has said that I have won something, can I have the day off so they can come to my door.”

She then made a video call to her husband Guy Burnett, who was tending his fish stall at a London market.

When Kayleigh told him about the winning check, the shocked husband said: “Jesus! I can’t believe that.’

She said: ‘My husband was skeptical and told me not to get my hopes up.

‘Now that’s not the case! He’ll have to be careful driving home after seeing that.’

After the incredible win, the mother of two revealed she is still recovering.

After the huge windfall, she said: “It’s been a strange week to say the least. My head is still spinning.”

The 37-year-old added: “I thought I might win enough to get my windows done but never in a million years did I ever think I would win that much.

“This is life-changing for us. It will make life a bit more comfortable.”

The happy couple now plan to spend the money on a sun-filled holiday with their two children.

Kayleigh added: “We can do the house work we need to do and take the boys on a great holiday.

“We’re getting a French Bulldog puppy – named Nala – in a few weeks, so that’s what the puppy is paid for.”

But the joyful news did not stop there.

Kayleigh had even more to celebrate after discovering her father Duncan Young had also won a share of the prize.

Duncan was part of 1,112 people in the winning postcode sector to win cash prizes

Residents playing with postcodes starting with DN35 7 earned £1,306 for each ticket they bought.

However, Duncan, who lives less than a mile from his daughter, managed to double his price to £2,612.

It comes as if a couple who won £100,000 in the People’s Postcode Lottery were just days away from a decision that would have left them with nothing.

Brian Prodger’s wife Valentina planned to cancel their payment to the lottery service after complaining that they had never won.

How the People’s Postcode Lottery works

The People’s Postcode Lottery costs £12 a month to play and there are guaranteed winners every day. People play with their chosen zip code and are automatically entered into all draws. At least 33% of each ticket goes to a good cause.

Every Saturday, £1 million will be shared by one postcode as part of the lottery’s Millionaire Street prize.

People’s Postcode Lottery players have raised more than £1.2 billion for thousands of charities and local charities.

This award was promoted on behalf of Postcode Animal Trust, which supports organizations such as Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, PDSA and Medical Detection Dogs.
