In a photo shared on Facebook, someone posted an entire rack full of the fabulous garment in a Primark store.

The bright one pink snuddie is covered in cute green frogs and feels velvety soft.

This super comfortable dressing gown is the perfect gift for those who need some extra warmth this winter and can help you save on your heating bills.

Primark's official website describes a snuddie as: “A cozy oversized hoodie, designed for those lazy days when your comfiest clothes just won't cut it.”.

“Our Snuddies are made from super-soft fleece fabric, cut in an oversized silhouette with long cuffed sleeves and a large hood, so they'll keep you warm and cozy as you snuggle in front of the TV.”

The best part is that at just £5, this brilliant bargain will save you a lot of money, as a snuddie usually costs between £16 and £24.

Excited fans of the new snuddie responded by the hundreds to the comments on the post to beg and plead with their friends and partners to get one.

One giddy user told her friend: “I think we need this!!!”

As another wrote: “I bought one this week, love it! Reduced from £18!”

A third happy customer then said: “Think we'll have to throttle Primark, lol, I love these.”

The product is available in-store only and sold for a limited time only.

Primark also sells the perfect Valentine's gift for couples in the double snuddie.

Just like the regular snuddie that keeps you warm and toasty, this double version allows you to snuggle up to your partner and save even more on those mounting bills.

The double snuddie phenomenon comes after a beloved retail chain started selling a winter must-have that cozy shoppers are calling “fabulous.”

The Silentnight Thermal Mattress Cover has also been labeled a 'winter essential' due to its incredible ability to keep people warm all night long.

Or if you want to expand your winter wardrobe, look for a scarf to keep your neck cozy on the high street.

The Heattech Lined Padded Scarf from retailer Uniqlo is a must-have for the coming colder season and costs € 19.90.

As temperatures have dropped in recent weeks, many of us are likely to leave the heating on for longer, which combined with the January energy price rise means our bills will be higher.

But new bank payments are on their way to thousands of households specifically to help cover rising winter costs, such as cold weather payments and the Warm Home Discount.

How to stay warm cheaper this winter

Staying warm this winter doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg, as there are plenty of great alternatives to waking up the radiators and spending money on rising heating costs.

Buy a hot water bottle to keep you warm. You can get them in many different shapes and sizes to suit every type of person.

They are always ideal for a no-cost way to stay warm as all you need is hot water.

But if you have a few spare bucks and want to invest in a long-term solution for the cold, consider buying an electric blanket.

They're also a great way to stay warm and most cost about 2 cents per hour to run.

However, do not forget about preventive measures.

Consider making your home draft-free and sealing your windows to prevent cold air from entering.

Prices for drafts in most stores do not include the starting amount from a fiver, but a thick blanket rolled up next to a problematic door will work just as well.

Seal drafty windows with easy-to-use weather stripping. Prices for these start at €1.99 and can save up to €70 on your energy bill.

Attic insulation is also very important as it can prevent heat from escaping, reducing your heating bill.

You can buy insulation from all local builders' merchants or retailers such as B&Q and Wickes.

The Sun asked home insulation and heating expert and LoftZone chief executive Dave Raval for advice on keeping energy bills low and home temperatures high.

Dave said: “There are lots of things that everyone could do in their own home that are very simple and cheap to help save on your heating bills.

“The best energy savings is the energy you don't use, so looking at where heat can escape is crucial!”
