Princess Beatrice took part in a carriage ride with her cousin Prince William and the Princess of Wales when they arrived at Royal Ascot on Friday afternoon.

Beatrice, 34, looked elegant as she sat alongside husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in the horse-drawn carriage, opposite Kate and William for the royal procession at the historic British racing event.

Dressed in an elegant lace floral ensemble by Monique Lhuillier, which was expected to cost around £2,700, the royals wore her highlighted hair in an elaborate braid, tucked under a classy cream fascinator.

Beatrice appeared to be enjoying the traditional parade in the blazing sun on the Berkshire golf course, and completed her look with a pair of diamond hoop earrings and a £475 recycled ivory Pearls Maud clutch from Anya Hindmarch.

Meanwhile, her husband Edo, 39, with whom she shares a daughter, Sienna, has a sharp figure in a three-piece suit and tails.

The foursome of royals followed the King and Queen Camilla, who shared the first carriage of the parade with the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire.

The Princess of Wales, 41, wore a scarlet Alexander McQueen gown and a Philip Treacy hat in a matching hue, smiling to the crowd as she arrived in the carriage with Prince William, also 41.

Kate tied her hair back in a tight bun and opted for fabulous statement gold earrings from Sézane, which she has worn before.

It’s the penultimate day of the annual meeting, with the £1 million Diamond Jubilee Stakes marking the racing crescendo tomorrow.

Earlier this week Princess Beatrice wore a long-sleeved Beulah dress with a pattern of tiny pink flowers for £495 when she first appeared at the event.

This year’s event is the first since the death of the Queen – who has often been called Royal Ascot’s ‘biggest fan’ – in September.

During her 70-year reign, the late Her Majesty attended almost every Royal Ascot festival, with the exception of last year, where she was unable to attend due to mobility issues.

While the King has a horse race today, yesterday he shed a tear as he took his first ever Ascot win.

The royal couple were overcome with emotion as they watched their horse Desert Hero win the King George V race from the royal box after two defeats.

During the week, Princess Anne, Princess Beatrice and Mike and Zara Tindall have also been spotted enjoying the races.

The King’s cousins - Earl Snowdon and Sarah Chatto – also joined the royal procession yesterday.

Elsewhere, many revelers donned their finery to celebrate in the bright June sun.

High heels and fascinators were a common theme with guests, who opted for colorful dresses and all-out glamour.

Many female race-goers opted to take full advantage of the relaxed rules — allowing people to dress according to the male or female dress code, regardless of gender — by opting for bright pantsuits.

Last night’s revelers looked worse tonight as they left Berkshire Racecourse after hours of partying.

Earlier in the day, glamorous guests had dressed to the nines to attend the event, regarded as the crown jewel of the racing calendar.

While its competitors Cheltenham, Epsom and Aintree have dropped their dress codes, Ascot still has a fairly strict dress code.

After passing security this morning in high heels, racegoers were pictured giving their feet a break as they left the grounds in flip flops.

David Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linely, also known as Earl Snowdon, is the son of the late Princess Margaret and Antony Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon.

His sister, Lady Sarah Chatto and her husband Daniel Chatto also joined the procession, along with Lord Nicolas Soames, a former Conservative MP and grandson of Winston Churchill.

Camilla’s family – including her sister, ex-sister-in-law and ex-husband – have also been spotted at the races.

This year, the organizers have displayed a heartwarming collection of photos of the Queen visiting Ascot over the years.

They include a black and white photo of the royal family riding the track in 1960 when she was 34 years old.

The mother of four was depicted wearing a headscarf and riding boots as her horse galloped down the track.

The Queen took part in an unofficial race with other members of her royal party and finished fourth.

In addition, the organizers also select a photo of the Queen beaming on Ladies Day in 2013.

The event proved to be one of the Queen’s most successful Ascots as her horse Estimate won the Gold Cup – making her the first monarch in 200 years to win the award.

The late royal was pictured beaming at her trophy, which was presented to her by her son Prince Andrew.

The Queen was dressed in one of her signature robe dresses in a pretty shade of purple.

Under her jacket, the queen wore a beautiful floral dress – which matched perfectly with the flowers on her hat.

The image shows the Queen wearing a three-strand pearl necklace – which she also wore to her last-ever Ascot in June 2021.
