“I didn’t even think I could offend anyone’s feelings.”

“I ask all Russian citizens for forgiveness.”

The statue is one of the most famous in Russia and honors the heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad – a decisive moment in the Soviet victory over Hitler.

Putin’s new morality pursues anyone who defies “traditional values” and imposes harsh punishments on them.

Russian artist Maxim Tesli was recently accused of “petty hooliganism,” although “a criminal case looms in the future.”

He went viral after showing up at a concert wearing only a sock over his manhood back in January.
