Putin is told by the wives of mobilized Russian soldiers to ‘go to the front line himself – and die’, amid growing backlash over his war in Ukraine
Vladimir Putin has been told by the wives and girlfriends of mobilized Russian soldiers that he must “go to the front line himself and die.”
They are demanding that he end the slaughter in Ukraine, amid a revival of protest in his country against the war he launched almost two years ago.
In the message on Telegram channel The Way Home, demanding the return of mobilized men, they say to the dictator: ‘Vladimir [Putin]where have you taken people?
‘We Russians have no hope anymore under your leadership.
“Finish your work and sit at the negotiating table.”
In a video, wife and mother Paulina ridiculed Putin for declaring 2024 the Year of the Family in Russia – when he has torn families apart by forcing men into war. “I was amused that the President declared 2024 the Year of the Family,” said Paulina
Another woman told on video how her wounded husband was forced back to the war by Putin’s commanders while he urgently needed hospital treatment. Her case was brought to attention by the channel The Way Home
The women’s protest channel denounced Putin’s reasons for organizing a war that is estimated to have killed and maimed more than 300,000 Russians, amid clear signs of female resistance to forced mobilization.
The Way Home asked, “What the heck is denazification and demilitarization?”
‘Do you understand what you are talking about?
“Every time you say these words, people die.
‘Let us live in peace!
“Or go to the front yourself – and die.”
They said Putin would never do this.
‘This will not happen, because of the interests [of the authorities] should be served at the expense of the soldiers – ordinary Russians.
‘How cynical do you have to be to continue this bacchanalia and put a good face on a bad game?
“Won’t you stop until you kill all the young people?”
The channel highlights a mobilized soldier Alexander Shpilevoy, 27, who says on video to Putin: “Let them go home, everyone wants to go home, everyone really wants to go home.”

He talked about how Russian propaganda says Ukrainian soldiers are sent to war as ‘meat’ – and yet this is exactly what happened in Russia.
Those mobilized do not care “at all” about Putin’s justification for the war, Shpilevoy said.
He mocked Putin’s goal to invade and “demilitarize” Ukraine, warning that this goal would lead to a Russian bloodbath.
‘I would like to believe it, I would like to believe it, but I don’t, about the objectives of the [war]on the objectives of demilitarization,” he said.
