Putin PROMOTES prison official accused of torturing slain Alexei Navalny just days after death of dissident 'novichok'

A prison official accused of torturing Alexei Navalny in the feared Polar Wolf prison has been promoted by Vladimir Putin.

Prison chief Valery Boyarinev, 53, was awarded the military rank of colonel general of the Internal Service on Monday – just three days later. Navalny's 'mysterious' death in jail.

Boyarinev – at the time the first deputy head of the Federal Penitentiary Service – was revealed as the man behind from Navalny smaller food portions.

Human rights group gulagu.net also claimed that he was the “curator of torture transporters” and had implemented special measures against Navalny and thousands of others Ukrainian prisoners under his supervision.

The group – led by exiled Vladimir Osechkin – said: “Since July 2022, this experienced sadist of… the torture school has held the position of first deputy and oversees all operational work of the 21st century Gulag.

“The Lubyanka (FSB security service) has been promoting this executive executioner for a long time.

'And now – for the murder of Alexei Navalny – dictator Putin awards him the rank of colonel general.

“Boyarinev fulfilled Putin's wish: the physical elimination of his main political opponent.”

Colonel Vadim Kalinin, 51, is the governor in the Arctic hellhole prison “Polar Wolf” Where Navalny was imprisoned before his death.

Former FSB Colonel Gennady Gudkov, 67, an opposition politician, said prison was a terrible place for anyone who opposes Putin.

Speaking about Navalny, he said: “He was held… under torture conditions.

“Either his organism did not overcome these tortures (or) they could have given drugs that cause heart failure, they could have given a poison.

“We will only know the truth when Putin is gone.”

Others have also been promoted, including Alexander Rozin, 41 – a deputy director who will become a lieutenant general.

And Dmitry Sharovatov and Alexander Fedorov were both honored with new major general roles.

The hellish Siberian prison where Navalny died would be known for torturing and beating prisoners.

A former inmate of the hellish gulag said abuses are common soon after prisoners enter the prison and are “impossible to avoid”.

They are beaten with batons, strangled, pepper-sprayed, tied up, forced into awkward positions and subjected to “humiliating procedures,” he said.

Colony staff explained that prisoners are beaten – illegally – because “the prisoner must understand from the first minutes where he has ended up,” but after that the torture continues.

The prison is also known by the locals as 'the end of the world'.

WHAT HAPPENED TO NAVALNY?

Yesterday, Navalny's heartbroken wife accused Putin of it murdering her husband with the deadly nerve agent Novichok in jail.

Yulia's sensational claims come as Russian authorities continue to do so refusing to let Navalny's family see his body.

The 47-year-old widow has also called out the Kremlin for “lying and waiting” for the deadly toxins to dissipate before releasing his body.

Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the claims were “nothing but unfounded accusations, because they are not supported by anything, not confirmed.”

Earlier today, Navalny's mother Lyudmila Navalnaya, 69, stood outside the intimidating Arctic prison in subzero temperatures and demanded that Putin release her son's body.

She said in a video: “Behind me is the penal colony IK-3 Polar Wolf, where my son Alexei Navalny died on February 16.

“I can't see him until the fifth day. They won't give me his body and they won't even tell me where he is.

“I appeal to you, Vladimir Putin, the solution to the problem depends only on you. Finally let me see my son.

“I demand that Alexei's body be handed over immediately so that I can bury him humanely.”

Navalny was found dead at the dreaded one jailwhere he was serving a three-decade prison sentence, he said as he walked jail authorities.

Russia gave the official cause of death as “sudden death syndrome” Saturday, Navalny's family and lawyer said.

But no one was allowed to see his body but an autopsy has yet to be conducted outside of Russian police and selected emergency workers.

This has led to speculation about his 'real' cause of death, with many fearing the worst Putin's biggest critic.

Russian authorities have now said his body will not be handed over for another two weeks “until a chemical examination is completed,” according to Navalny's former campaign manager Ivan Zhdanov.

Yulia posted a speech on Navalny's YouTube when she made the Novichok claims and called on his supporters to “unite us in one strong fist and attack this crazy regime, against Putin, against his friends, against the criminals in uniform… and the murderers who are ruining our country.”

She ended the passionate message by saying: “Alexei loved Russia more than anything in the world, loved our country.

“He believed in you, in us, in our strength, in our futurein the fact that we deserve better.

“He believed not only in words, but also in actions, so deeply and sincerely that he was willing to give his life for it.

“We must use every opportunity to fight against war, against corruption, against injustice, to fight for fair elections freedom of speechto fight to reclaim our country.”

Timeline surrounding Navalny's death

February 14th: Several agents of the FSB, the Russian intelligence service, are said to have visited the 'Polar Wolf' prison – and proceeded to disconnect and dismantle some security cameras and listening devices there.

February 16, 2:17 PM local time: Navalny, 47, is said to have officially died.

February 16, 2:19 PM: The Prison Service issued what appeared to be a prepared press release.

It said: “On February 16, 2024, in Penal Colony No. 3, convict Navalny AA felt unwell after a walk and almost immediately lost consciousness.”

February 16, 2:23 PM: A state-controlled channel on the messaging site Telegram claimed the cause of death was a blood clot or thrombosis.

February 16, 2:30 PM: Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov spoke to the media about Navalny's death.
