Queen Mathilde of Belgium beamed in a black dress with a striking sequin bow as she stepped out with King Philip to attend a concert.

The Belgian royal, 50, wore the fitted black floor-length dress with long sleeves as she arrived at the Royal Band of Guides gala concert at the Center for Fine Arts in Bozar, Brussels.

The event was held to mark the tenth anniversary of King Philip’s reign.

Mathilde paired her dress with black pumps, dazzling earrings and a black patent leather bag – and also carried a bouquet of flowers as she walked alongside her husband, who was dressed in military regalia.

The stylish royal wore her hair in a sleek updo, parted at the side and swept away from her face, and opted for a nude lip and a hint of blush.

When the royal couple entered the theater, they greeted the people involved in the organization of the festive concert.

A little girl in a beautiful royal blue dress, believed to be performing at the concert, delighted the royal family as they were introduced and beamed as they chatted with her.

The festive concert, which marks ten years since King Philippe came to the throne, comes as the couple’s daughter, Princess Elisabeth, begins to step up her role as a royal on the international stage.

Official portraits were released last month to mark the princess’s 22nd birthday.

Elisabeth provided a typically stylish display as she posed in her new portraits. Elisabeth wore an elegant £795 embroidered mesh top by Dries Van Noten with black popper trousers, which was shared on the official X account of the Belgian Royal Palace (formerly called Twitter).

Elisabeth smiled as she looked at the camera in the photos and wore a beautiful pair of diamond earrings for the occasion.

She opted for a touch of dark eyeliner on her eyelids and a hint of blush on her cheeks.

Princess Elisabeth will ascend the throne after her father. A change in the law ten years ago made it possible for the eldest child, male or female, to ascend the throne in the country. If she takes on the role, she will become the country’s first queen regent.

The 22-year-old recently started her third and final year at the University of Oxford, where she is studying a bachelor’s degree in history and politics.

It is believed that Elisabeth chose the course herself, in consultation with her parents, and reportedly consulted with alumni from various universities and made her decision based on what would be most useful to her in her role as queen later in her life.

According to the Belgian newspaper Le Soir, the princess took a written history entrance exam ‘anonymously’ so that her social status would not affect her grades.

Last month, Elisabeth was also one of many guests from the new generation of European royals who attended the 18th birthday of Prince Christian of Denmark.

She posed for a beautiful photo with the birthday boy, plus three other future European royals; Princess Estelle of Sweden, Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway and Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands.
