Queen Rania’s jewelery was both elegant and original, especially her striking pink ‘1919’ ring by Lebanese designer Ralph Masri.

The mother of four, who founded the International Academy – Amman in 2004, wore her highlighted hair loose and kept her makeup natural for the important occasion.

In an open letter posted on the school’s website, Queen Rania explains that when she opened the school nearly two decades ago, “she put forward a bold and optimistic mission: to instill in her students a lifelong love of learning and to arm them with curiosity, compassion, and confidence to become the leaders of tomorrow.”

She writes, “We wanted to raise a new generation of global citizens, capable of serving as agents of change without ever losing sight of their roots.”

Queen Rania, who handed out diplomas at the ceremony on Tuesday, watched her youngest son, Prince Hashem bin Abdullah, graduate from King’s Academy, a boarding school in Madaba, in May.

In a moving speech at the school’s 2013 graduation ceremony, Queen Rania encouraged students not to get “entangled by other people’s borders and boundaries – by their beliefs and prejudices.”

She added, “You have to run away from the familiar. Take the untrodden path. Find a third way between left and right. Even a few missteps, stumbles and falls!’

The graduation ceremony at the independent coeducational day school comes shortly after her own youngest son graduated from high school in May.

There, she looked excited and happy to celebrate the achievements of Prince Hashem bin Abdullah who entered King’s Academy, a boarding school in Madaba.

Queen Rania attended the graduation with her husband King Abdullah II, Princess Iman and her husband Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, along with Princess Salma and Crown Prince Hussein.

The Queen captioned her Instagram post: “Guys, can we slow down a bit? This mama needs to catch her breath! “Another proud family moment today at Hashem’s high school graduation.”

Recently, the family had much to celebrate, with Rania’s eldest son, Crown Prince Hussein, marrying architect Rajwa Al Saif on June 1.
