My friend taught me the secret to red lips that last all day, try it with any brand

A MAKEUP fan has shared the trick she learned from a friend for red lips that last all day.

She explained that the trick worked with any brand of red lipstick.

Liz (@foxcraftadapted) shared the beauty tip in a TikTok video.

Eight years ago, she had attended a festival with a friend whose longevity shocked her because of the red lips.

“I remember on the second day I woke up looking like a struggle bus and she came out with the most beautiful red lipstick,” she said.

“I remember thinking to myself, ‘Damn, that’s brave. I would never trust my lipstick to last that long.’

But to her surprise, her friend’s lipstick passed the test with flying colors.

“Sure enough, 12 hours later it looked perfect,” she said.

“The secret is this: Do your routine, whatever it is. I like to line up swipes and then use lipstick.”

Liz lined her lips with a bright red lip liner and then applied a layer of lipstick over the top.

When she was done, she blotted her lips with a tissue.

“Don’t rub, just keep dabbing!” she advised.

“Blot until nothing more is transferred to the napkin.”

When that was done, she covered her lips with a layer of powder.

“It will feel dry, it will be in there and then just do your process again,” she said.

While the powder was in her lips, she reapplied her lip liner and lipstick.

“I’ve tried this with MANY lipsticks over the years and it ALWAYS helps,” she said.

She added that she applied her lipstick at 8am and it lasted ten hours.

“This is a great old-fashioned makeup artist trick! Although we usually do the same thing, but after dabbing, place the tissue on the lips and apply powder on top! Less drying,” said one commenter.
