A youth worker who allegedly tortured and abused his baby with an abusive instrument in the months before he was allegedly killed must wait another four weeks before his case can go to court.

Reinhardt Bosch, 33, and his partner, Noemi Kondacs, 22, have been charged with the murder and torture of seven-month-old Rhuan northwest of Brisbane.

The baby was found dead on November 3, 2022 at an address on Mount Samson Rd in Yugar.

Court documents show that police allege that Rhuan was tortured by the couple between April 11 and November 3.

Mr. Bosch was also charged with assault inflicting bodily harm while armed with an assault device.

Detective Inspector David Jackman of the Inner West Crime Group told reporters in November that the child appeared to have suffered “visible” injuries.

“The circumstances leading to the death are believed to have occurred within the last 24 hours (from Nov. 3), ” he said.

Mr Bosch’s lawyer, Anna Plantos, said her law firm was still waiting for “material” from the prosecution.

The court was told that the Director of Public Prosecutions had released the rest of the evidence, including the medical report, on Friday.

The DPP prosecutor said the only outstanding statement was a statement from an officer involved in the case, but that it was “not crucial to the investigation.”

Ms Plantos said she would need more time with her client to go through all the material in the DPP case.

Ms Kondac’s lawyer did not appear on Monday, but her case was adjourned until July 31, along with Mr Bosch’s cases.

The pair remain in custody.

EXCLUSIVE: Family of baby boy Rhuan reportedly tortured to death by his ‘deeply religious’ parents break their silence in powerful letter: ‘No one will understand’

The grandfather of a seven-month-old boy who was allegedly tortured to death by his parents has broken his silence, saying the grief caused by the baby’s death is endless.

Reinhardt Bosch, 33, and Noemi Kondacs, 22, were arrested on November 3 after aid workers found their son, Rhuan, dead in their rental home in Yugar, north of Brisbane.

The “deeply religious” couple has been accused of torturing the little boy for his entire life since he was born in April.

Queensland Police say the couple prayed for his recovery and did not call paramedics until the day after his death.

The boy’s maternal grandfather has now revealed his pain in a short poem uploaded to a fundraiser to raise money for Rhuan’s funeral.

‘Why? How could this happen? Why you? The grief your absence has caused will never end,’ he said.

He continued, “Your name is Rhuan. No one will understand.’

“Nothing will be the same as before.”

Last week, family friend Kelly Cousins launched the fundraiser to ensure the little boy “who deserved so much better” is “honored with a proper funeral.”

She managed to raise $4,670 in just three days and closed the fundraiser before thanking community members for their generous donations.

‘Thank you all very much. You have been instrumental in taking a tremendous amount of additional stress off baby Rhuan’s family,” she wrote.

“We are now going to plan and hold a beautiful memorial service for this precious little boy.

We wish you all the best and please know that we look forward to paying this generosity in the very near future. I love you all xxx.”

On Friday, Ms Cousins said Rhuan “was here so briefly, but he was loved so dearly, especially by his grandfather.”

“We can’t undo what is [allegedly] happened, but we can do this one thing for him,” she said.

“Hug your kids tonight and if you need help, seek it and seek it and seek it until you get it.” Love to you all.’

Bosch and Kondacs have each been charged with murder and torture. Bosch is also facing charges of assault resulting in bodily harm.

They faced the Brisbane Magistrate’s Court via video link on Friday 4 November.

This week, days after detectives finished searching the gruesome scene, the house appeared dark, eerie, and almost completely deserted — save for a light still glowing in one of the bedrooms.

Outside the rental were remnants of the couple’s semi-rural life—a large water container, empty cardboard boxes, a broom, and a rake were scattered beside the double stained-glass doors in the living room.

On either side of the house lay an abandoned caravan, piles of tiles, solar panels and electrical cords, while garden ornaments and Christmas lights were attached to fences within the padlocked driveway.

A few feet away on the busy road was a bench full of flowers, teddy bears and cards for the little boy.

“Be at peace, little man,” a card read.

A resident of Yugar, who declined to be named, told the Daily Mail Australia that her neighbors feel co-responsible because the alleged torture and murder happened right under their noses.

“We all blame ourselves a little bit, but what can you do?” she said.

The resident explained that she didn’t know the couple even had a baby, and if she had, they wouldn’t have been able to hear it over the constant roar of traffic on Mount Samson Road.

According to court documents, Bosch was a youth worker, but had been unemployed for some time before his son died.

Between April 11 and November 2, Bosch physically injured and assaulted Rhuan while armed with an assault device, according to court documents.

It is alleged that the parents prayed for up to 24 hours for the child’s recovery until they called an ambulance when he became unresponsive.

Police immediately sealed off the house and launched Operation Uniform Salwood to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.

The couple was not previously known to the police and neither was the address.

The Brisbane Magistrate’s Court has no jurisdiction to hear bail applications for murder charges, and the cases were adjourned until 5 December.
