Erika Jayne opens up about where she stands The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Co-star Dorit Kemsley after joking about her marital problems.
“When BravoCon happened last year, I didn’t know what was going on in her personal life and if I had known, I wouldn’t have said that,” Erika, 52, told exclusively We weekly at BravoCon on Saturday, November 4. “So I worked really hard to correct that and move on and reconnect our friendship.”
In October 2022, Erika made headlines when she said that Dorit, 47, and her husband: Paul “PK” Kemsleywere the next Bravo couple during a Watch what happens live with Andy Cohen to withdraw.
Dorit clapped back at the comment via X (formerly known as Twitter). “Misery loves company. What more is possible [I] say 🤷🏼♀️,” she wrote. “Our friends, the ones who really know us, know what we have and who we are.”
PK, 56, for his part, also slammed Erika’s comment, telling her to “stop thinking.” Erika later clarified that she was joking and responded to Erika’s shady social media post: “When did you get so sensitive? You know damn well I was joking….”
During the season 13 premiere of RHOBHDorit confronted Erika with the hint that she and PK were breaking up during BravoCon 2022. Erika, for her part, apologized and said she was giving “a dark answer” to a “dark question.”
“It was very hurtful to see you behave that way,” Dorit said. “What you said about PK and me was mean.”
Multiple sources revealed in the latest issue of Us that Dorit and PK ‘lived separate lives’. (The couple married in 2015 and share two children: Jagger, 8, and Phoenix, 7. PK also has two older children from a previous relationship.)
Amid the speculation, the two released a joint statement in October saying they were not calling it quits after eight years of marriage.
“We remain committed to resolving these issues as a united couple for our family,” they said in their joint statement. “We haven’t split up and we don’t plan to. Instead, we are focused on healing, making changes, and doing the things that many couples need to do at some point in their marriage.
They continued: “We would be grateful for everyone’s understanding. We are doing what we can to focus on the best interests of our family, rather than spending our time fighting rumors and rumors that are not true.”
Dorit spoke exclusively Us during BravoCon that the couple is “hopeful” and “working on marriage.”
“You know, PK and I immediately made a statement to debunk the rumors so people wouldn’t take it to another level? I mean, we had said everything we needed to say,” she said. ‘It’s not true, we are not divorced [and] we are not going to divorce.”
