After Emily Simpson showed off her slim physique via Instagram on Friday, June 23, her comments were flooded with allegations that she was on a weight-loss drug.

‘How does that oempic work [sic] out for you?” one social media user replied on Friday. “I think she was incredibly hot for the Ozempic. Don’t judge at all. Just sad [that] she thinks she needs to temporarily change her body because it will all go back to the way it was when she stops. I think she was perfect before.

The Real Housewives of Orange County star, 47, immediately slammed the claims in her response. “You don’t know me and nothing will ‘return’ because my arms are jacked 7 days a week from heavy lifting,” Simpson wrote.

Ozempic is a weight loss medication often prescribed to adults who are obese or struggling with weight loss, including diabetes or high blood pressure. However, medications such as Ozempic and Wegovy are not approved for casual weight loss.

“It’s not a good idea for someone hoping to stick it out because one thing we know is that when you stop the medication, whether it’s a few months later or a year later, your weight comes back pretty quickly,” plastic surgeon Dr. Thomas Su told exclusively Us weekly in March. “It’s not a good weight loss measure if you really intend to keep something off.”

The lawyer who participated RHOC in 2018, was previously candid about her own weight loss journey.

“I’ve worked really hard to get here and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come and still going,” she wrote via Instagram in November 2020. “I lost myself and my confidence gaining 30 pounds in one years in front of millions of people on a reality TV show Here I am a year and a half later feeling sexy, confident in my own skin, and like the EMILY I need to be!

Simpson told later Us that she worked with a personal trainer “several times a week” for two years.

“I’m turning 46. I’m just doing my best,” she said exclusively in January 2022. “It’s about balance. I mean, I still like to drink champagne and eat cupcakes and go out to dinner, but I try to work out as much as I can to kind of… I don’t want to be miserable. I mean, I want to do all those things, so I just try to keep a healthy balance.

Simpson added at the time: “I think you just have to embrace where you are in life, and our bodies change. I notice I’ve changed. My metabolism has changed, and it’s just what it is. I’m just bigger than used to be when I was 20 and 30, and that’s okay.

The Bravolebrity – who shares three children with her husband Shane Simpson – also revealed to Us that she doesn’t let the number on a scale dictate her wellness journey. “I do pay attention to sizes and stuff, so I wish I was a size smaller, but I don’t know if that’s ever going to happen. I just feel like my body is just happy where it is,” she said. “It just likes it where it is.”
