RHONY’s Jessel Taank and husband Pavit on Who Said ‘I Love You’ 1st
Jessel Taank And Pavit Randhawa‘s marriage was a hot topic in season 14 of The Real Housewives of New York Citybut the couple recently proved that they know each other much better than their co-stars seem to think.
Jessel and her husband joined We weekly for “The Not-So-Newly Married Game” and answered almost every question – at least in spirit. When asked where they had their first date, they mentioned different restaurants, but they knew it was at a sushi restaurant.
“It’s been a while,” Pavit said, defending the duo’s somewhat mixed reaction. Jessel interjected, adding, “It’s been a long time! Seventeen years now.”
The pair were a little more in sync when it came time to mention the most romantic thing Pavit has ever done for Jessel. The couple agreed that this was when they snuck away for a getaway to Santorini, Greece.

Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images“It was very early in our relationship,” Jessel recalls. “This guy – the wingman, the points man, whatever you want to call him – had somehow managed to book a first-class trip to Greece. …We had just started dating. It looked like Virgin Airlines, upper class.”
Jessel thought Pavit might propose during the trip, but he said the chances of that were slim to none. “I wasn’t going to suggest that trip,” he said, with Jessel adding, “He just wanted a free vacation.”

The couple didn’t quite agree on who said “I love you” first, but Pavit was absolutely certain that his wife’s favorite reality TV show is the British edition of Love Island.
“It’s such rubbish TV,” Pavit joked. “It’s so bad.”
While RHONY fans saw Pavit and Jessel happily agreeing that Pavit could take a solo trip to Vietnam for bánh mì, a conflict may arise in their future over an offensive item in Pavit’s closet. When asked what item from her husband’s wardrobe she would like to throw away, Jessel quickly mentioned his yellow UCLA T-shirt “with holes” in it.
“I’m not getting rid of my yellow UCLA T-shirt!” Pavit exclaimed. “It’s a perfect, comfortable shirt. It is good quality.”
Jessel, however, begged to differ. “It’s disgusting,” she said. “Looks like a moth has gone to town.”

Earlier this year Jessel said Us that she and Pavit “live a very unstructured life together” – which may be one reason they can playfully nag each other about T-shirts with holes.
“We are two individuals who are married, but I enjoy doing my things and he enjoys doing his things,” she explained in October. “If he wants to do something, I will never stop him because that’s when I think you start to see friction in relationships, when you start to control or suppress his character, his personality or his passion for traveling and doing things. So I’ve always been very supportive and vice versa. If I say, “I have to go on a girls’ trip,” he might give me a little trouble for five minutes, but at the end of the day I’m going to do what I want to do.
