A heartbroken family have paid tribute after their ‘caring and warm’ teenager died in a horror truck crash.
16-year-old Llŷr Davies was tragically killed on Tuesday, March 12, after a truck reportedly slid down a slope into a river. Pembrokeshire.

The grief-stricken family’s statement, released through Dyfed-Powys Police, said: “It is with great sadness that we as a family announce the passing of our beloved Llŷr.
“On March 12, our world was turned upside down when we learned of the death of our kind, funny and charming Llŷr.
“Your caring and warm personality will remain with us for the rest of our days.
“Your ability to light up any room you enter is something we will cherish and remember forever.
“Our lives will never be the same without you Llŷr, you will be in our hearts forever. Cysga’n dawel, beautiful boy.
“The family would like to thank friends, family and the wider community for all their messages of support.
“It has given us comfort in this dark time, knowing that Llŷr has touched so many lives.”
It is understood Llŷr died after a tipper slid down a slope into the eastern River Cleddau in the Efailwen area of Clynderwen.
It is believed the teen got out of the vehicle on the ramp before it entered the river.
The incident has been reported to the Health and Safety Department.
An eyewitness claimed they heard a “very loud noise of a crash” before emergency services arrived on the scene.
They said: “I was running down the footpath across the River Cleddau and saw one of the tippers in the river about 10 to 12 meters below quarry level.”
Paying tribute to Llŷr, Ceredigion Town Footballk Club wrote: “Tragic news that one of our former junior players, Llŷr Davies, passed away in an accident yesterday.
“As a club we would like to express our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
“For all those friends reading this, grief can be overwhelming. You don’t have to deal with this alone.
“Depot, the Area 43 youth pub in Cardigan, is open Monday to Saturday from 1pm to 7pm for 14 to 25 year olds and there is guidance available and support staff in the room at all times.
“There are also many support services available to you, both face-to-face and online. The most important thing is that you reach out to the people around you.”
Rugby club Clwb Rygbi Castellnewydd Emlyn also wrote: “Very sad news that one of our U16 players has passed away in a tragic accident.
“Llŷr Davies was a lovely boy and a friend to all. The club sends its deepest condolences to the family and all his friends.”
