Fans of RuPaul's Drag Race will descend on London today as the show's annual convention kicks off.

The two-day event, which takes place at the ExCel convention centre, encourages fans to dress up for the 'world's most inclusive party'.

This weekend, hundreds of Drag Queens from all over the world will walk to the main stage on the famous pink carpet.

The convention officially kicked off this morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Amanda Tears and Brittany Von Bottocks, both of whom appeared in the Belgian series.

Michelle Visage – judge for the US, UK and Australian series – will take to the stage this afternoon alongside members of the season two cast.

The American singer, 55, put on a stylish show this morning as she took to the stage for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The judge styled her gray hair in Hollywood-style waves and a chic black bedazzled co-ord set.

During the two-day extravaganza, fans of the show will also get the chance to meet their favorite stars from the series.

General admission tickets started from £40 for single-day entry, while 'All Star' guests paid £200 for VIP entry for both days.

Well-known faces appearing over the weekend include Patty Pam-Pam from the Dutch series and Kelly Heelton, who participated in the German show.

In addition to a 'Drag Queen Story Time', several stars will take part in a musical performance inspired by the new Mean Girls film.

Former RuPaul's Drag Race UK contestant Tia Kofi – who took part in the second series – will also take to the stage for a performance this afternoon.

Vanity Milan – who took part in the third series of the UK Drag Race – has been asked to close the convention tomorrow afternoon with a performance on the Main Stage.

In 2020, furious fans branded the convention a 'shambles' after having to queue outside the venue for hours amid reports the event was overbooked on the first day.

Those who attended the event took to social media to share their anger after waiting four hours to enter the convention.
