Samantha, who was now filming for Shiva Nirvana’s movie Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda, will take a break after the film’s final shooting schedule. The actress has completed her Citadel India shoot alongside Varun Dhawan in Serbia. According to reports, Samantha repaid the advances she received from the producers.

A source told Pinkvilla that Samantha will be taking a short break for a few months to focus solely on her health. “Starting with the release of Shaakuntalam and promotions to back-to-back shooting for Kushi and Citadel, Samantha had a busy year with no breaks. She now wants to focus on her health before embarking on new projects. 2024 will be a big year for her with the release of Citadel, followed by some big announcements,” the source revealed.

Samantha shared the news of her myositis diagnosis in October last year. The actress took to Instagram and shared a photo from the hospital along with her diagnosis.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu will share screen space with heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda in Shiva Nirvana’s directorial Kushi. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Samantha and Vijay Deverakonda’s protagonist will hit theaters on September 1 this year.
On the other hand, the release of Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Citadel India is scheduled for later this year on Amazon Prime Video. The series is a spin-off of the Amazon Prime series Citadel and also stars Varun Dhawan in the lead role. The makers recently completed the shooting of the film in Serbia.
