Sarah Ferguson praised her daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie as “great working moms.”

The Duchess of York, 63, spoke on her podcast Tea talks with the Duchess and Sarahwhere she discussed work-life balance after the Covid-19 pandemic.

She said Beatrice, 34, – who shares daughter Sienna and stepson Wolfie with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi – and Eugenie, 33, who shares sons August and Ernie with husband Jack Brooksbank – work “very, very hard” and that they are “very proud of is’ ​​them’.

“It’s both private and public, it’s not about working or not working. They work very hard both privately and publicly,” she added.

The mother-of-two said the couple has an “extraordinary” work-life balance.

“I’m so proud of them, they are amazing mothers,” she added.

Beatrice and Eugenie receive no income from the Sovereign Grant, the government-funded £82.2 million that covers royal salaries, as they are not on any official royal engagement rosters.

This means they’ve had jobs outside of The Firm, but this hasn’t stopped them from having busy social schedules that are often snubbed at parties and overseas holidays.

They’ve barely struggled though, with the late Queen setting up a £1.4 million trust fund for the girls after their parents divorced, while their father, the Duke of York, paid more than £400,000 for their private school education.

The couple has also paid peppercorn rent to live in several royal palaces.

Beatrice studied history and the history of ideas at Goldsmith’s University before taking up positions in private wealth management.

She also worked as an associate at Sandbridge Capital, a small consumer-focused private equity firm, and as a business development associate at Sony Pictures Television before resigning in 2014.

She is currently Vice President of Partnerships and Strategy at Afiniti, a multinational data and software company based in Washington, D.C.

Meanwhile, sister Eugenie works as an associate director for Mayfair-based art gallery Hauser & Wirth, though she is currently on maternity leave.

The royal, who like her sister does not receive any money from the queen, graduated from Newcastle University in September 2009, after studying English literature and art history.

After completing her studies, Eugenie moved to New York to work for online auction company Paddle8, before returning to London in 2015 to start a career at Hauser & Wirth.

Her husband, Jack Brooksbank, previously served as an ambassador for Casamigos, the Tequilia brand founded by George Clooney and Rand Gerber. Before that, he worked as a manager at the posh London nightclub Mahiki.

He currently works in marketing and sales for Discovery Land Company.

In addition to their jobs, Beatrice and Eugenie work for various charities.
