On the mend. Amanza Smith revealed that she has been in hospital for several days for treatment for a blood infection.

The sell sunset star, 46, broke the news to her Instagram followers on Sunday, June 11, sharing a video montage set to “Titanium” from David Guetta And Sia. The Netflix personality explained that her health problems started a month ago when she started experiencing “excruciating pain” in her lower back. At first she thought she had a hernia, but after an MRI and a CT scan, doctors told her to go to the hospital for further tests.

The Indiana resident went on to say that doctors were initially concerned she had a tumor because the infection showed up that way on her MRI. “Everyone was very scared, including myself,” she wrote, noting that she was taking antibiotics to treat the infection. “Here I am day 10 making this post a little quick as I am about to have surgery to remove parts of the infection from my spine that were not getting better. … I’m still in pain, but I’m hopeful that my back pain will ease with the surgery.”
