SHOPPERS are excited as Marks and Spencer adds more than 140 products from two sportswear giants.

The high street favorite has announced that they are welcoming the huge range of activewear to their online store.

Hundreds of new lines will be available to shop as part of M&S The Sports Edit collection.

The site, where millions of customers can order every year, is already home to five major sports brands.

AdidasColumbia, ASICS, weaty Betty and Girlfriend Collective can all be shopped at M&S.com.

But now executives have announced the arrival of Puma Roebuck.

The range of both brands includes performance and lifestyle clothing and shoes, as well as clothing items.

Reebok will be available from February on M&S.com, while Puma will be available in March.

Nishi Mahajan, Director of Third-Party Brands at M&S, said: “Sportswear is an integral part of our wider Brands at M&S ​​strategy as we continue to grow our market share and brand credibility in the category.

“Our dedicated platform has been carefully curated to cater for every style, energy level and price point, complementing and complementing the strength we have in our core Goodmove range.

“We are growing at a rapid pace – with more to come this year.”

Nick Paulson-Ellis, Founder and CEO of The Sports Edit, added: “Our carefully curated selection of sportswear partners on The Sports Edit platform on M&S.com now includes five of the top ten global sportswear brands, with more to come more. the year – and we're only a year into it.”

It comes just days after M&S announced one of its stores would close for good.

The home store in Kingsditch Trading Estate on Tewkesbury Road, Cheltenham, will close in April.

Last year, M&S announced that it would permanently close ten stores and relocate more stores.

It is part of the retailer's plans to create more flagship M&S stores and food halls across the UK.
