WHILE Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 took the gaming world by storm, we don’t know what the next Spider-Man game will be.

However, a data breach revealed that developer Insomniac was working on a multiplayer Spider-Man game.

Leaked documents reveal the name and concept of the game, including that it would feature live service elements, something that would have been new to the series.

At the time of the hack, it was reported that the game had since been canceled, but people were still intrigued by what it could have been.

Since then, more footage has surfaced and a one-minute trailer for Spider-Man: The Great Web has appeared online.

The trailer reveals a Spider-Verse style game featuring different Spider-Men from different universes.

In addition to Yuri Lowenthal’s Peter Parker, we saw Miles Morales, Ben Reilly, Miguel O’Hara and Gwen Stacy.

We see the various Spider-Men battling various enemies, in addition to some comic artwork.

Cindy Moon, known as Silk in the comics, who was teased at the end of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, is also featured in the art with the rest of the heroes.

It also features Venom as a playable character, and a way for the Spider-Men to enter other dimensions and open up the Multiverse.

Live service games have seen a massive drop in sales as too many titles in the genre began to flood the market.

Four big-name live service games launched in February, with only Helldivers 2 managing to be successful.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Skull & Bones and Foamstars didn’t do as well as the companies expected them to.

The reason Spider-Man: The Great Web was canceled is unknown, but the teams have since moved on to several projects.
