A haunting moment. Charles Radke compared his heartbreaking feud with late brother Curtis Radke to his season 7 Summer house play with Kyle Cooke.

“Season 1 of Summer house … I was drinking and partying. I was everywhere,” Carl, 38, recalled during Part 2 of Season 7 Summer house reunion, which aired on Monday, June 5. “I came to interviews during the week drunk, like in the studio.”

Loverboy’s former vice president of sales recalled a confessional in which he candidly discussed his siblings’ ups and downs with drugs. (Curtis passed away in August 2020 after a lifelong battle with mental illness and addiction, which was caught on camera during Season 5 of the Bravo series.)

“In the chair I told about my brother’s heroin addiction. It wasn’t my place. He watched the show, like, “All excited to see my brother on TV,” and [in reality] he watches the show and it’s me berating him about his addiction,” Carl told his castmates. “It was really damaging and really damaged our relationship.”

The Pennsylvania native confessed: “I harbored a lot of anger towards him because I couldn’t understand that I had problems too and I blamed him. But I was the one on TV trying to glorify that I was this party animal. And it tricked me.

Carl went on to explain that he and Curtis “didn’t speak” after the incident and the silence between them continued until his passing. “I never got a chance to say anything,” he added, holding back tears.

The businessman, who has been sober since January 2021, then turned his attention to longtime BFF Kyle, 40, with whom he was at odds while filming Season 7 in the summer of 2022. During the season, fans watched as the CEO van Loverboy drunkenly told his roommates that Carl once showed up at work “cooked out” and then vented his frustrations about their working relationship.

The twosome have since started to make amends – and Carl no longer works for Loverboy – but he was still upset by Kyle’s Season 7 venting session.

“I showed up at work and forgot my laptop. I wish I had the chance to say that and not you,” Carl said on Monday’s episode. “But I am incredibly embarrassed and ashamed of my past. That my addiction came up so publicly really hurt when you said that.”

Kyle quickly apologized again for his actions, saying, “I felt like the nastiest man in the world. I’m so embarrassed, and I’m so embarrassed, and I just knew it would be a knife to the heart.

The Trinity College alum added: “This man is my best friend and I can’t understand what he’s had to go through and just have to rip that Band-Aid off a year later – I’ve never been so embarrassed and felt sorry.” .”

An emotional Kyle wiped away tears before praising his friend for how far he’s come since they met in 2016. change course and don’t even become a better man, you are a new man,” he said.

Elsewhere in the episode, Kyle confessed that his harsh comments about Carl’s addiction in the past felt like a “role reversal” for the salesman, who had once attacked his brother’s character on TV.

“With Kyle being my brother and my friend, I’m not going to harbor that anger and hatred,” Carl concluded before hugging his friend. “Like I said, this man has done a lot for me. We’ve been through so much together. Dude, I appreciate you man. I love you man. that will never change.” Kyle agreed: “I love you too.”
