Taylor Swift bares her long legs in a denim skirt and white blouse as she heads to the studio in New York

Taylor Swift showed off her effortless summer style when she headed to Electric Lady Studios in New York City on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old singer-songwriter – who is currently embarking on a major tour – wore a white blouse with eyelets and a denim skirt.

The superstar musician bared her long legs in the light wash jean skort – a piece of clothing that looks like a skirt in the front but is actually shorts – which had a front flap with a side bow at her hip.

Taylor, who made headlines for her split from Joe Alwyn earlier this year, opted for a red lip during the outing.

Her ensemble was punctuated by a pair of caramel leather loafers with a strap and buckle.

Taylor’s blouse had a deep v-neck with ruffles along the collar and the hem of the sleeves.

The stark, white top is made with a pattern of eyelets, supporting Swift’s signature girly style.

The global phenomenon wore her dirty blonde hair pulled back with bangs framing her face.

In her ears she rocked a pair of dangling and dainty earrings with small spherical pendants.

The Anti-Hero hitmaker carried her belongings in a small, beaded and woven orange and brown handbag.

The performance comes after Taylor surprised fans in Minneapolis on Saturday when she sang her song Dear John for the first time in eleven years.

Ever since the song debuted in 2010, fans have speculated that it had been written about John Mayerwhom she had broken up with earlier that year.

Taylor decided to re-record all of her old albums and release new ‘Taylor’s Versions’ to which she would own the rights.

“I’m releasing this album because I want to own my music and I believe any artist who has a desire to own their music should be able to,” she said at her last show in Minneapolis, according to USA Today.

Taylor previously gave a live performance of Dear John in 2012 while on stage in Auckland, New Zealand.

Her upcoming ‘Taylor’s Version’ of Speak Now, including a new recording of Dear John, is due out July 7.

John reportedly dated Taylor from December 2009 to February 2010, when he was 31 and she was 19.

“Don’t you think I was too young to mess around with?” Taylor wrote in Dear John. “The girl in the dress cried all the way home – I should have known.”

She continues, “Well, maybe it’s me and my blind optimism—or maybe it’s you and your sick need to give love and then take it away.”

The lyrics continue: “And you add my name to your long list of traitors who don’t understand, and I’ll look back and regret ignoring when they said, ‘Run as fast as you can.'”

Taylor’s latest Dear John rendition comes two months after 45-year-old Mayer spoke out on his 2013 song Paper Doll, which is believed to be a refutation of Dear John.

According to Yahooat a live show in April, John told the audience about the tune, “I wonder if people don’t like it because it sounds a little pissed off.”

“I don’t like ‘pi**ed off’ as a song. I think it hurt more.’

He added, “Is there anything about it that’s a little b****y? I try not to give bias in the song and sometimes that happens. I guess I’m not doing very well – sarcastic b***h.’
