After Swift received some boos — and a lot of love — from the crowd at Gillette Stadium, Travis spoke about the incident during the Wednesday, December 20, episode of his and Jason’s “New Heights” podcast.

“I will say this: They showed Taylor during the game and you don’t see an entire home team fan base going crazy when someone wears the other team’s colors,” Travis said. “It just shows you how amazing that girl is.”

Travis then downplayed the negative reactions to Swift’s presence. “They went crazy when they showed Taylor on screen. … Maybe it was a few Brads and Chads booing, but for the most part, everyone was fucking yelling at Taylor,” he noted. “I tried to keep it calm, I was like, ‘Don’t show your cards.'”

Swift, who was accompanied by her father, Scott Swift, during the December 17 game, was largely welcomed by the NFL fandom. As for the few naysayers, she left out their opinions.

“I don’t know how they know which suite I’m in. … I’m just here to support Travis,” she explained Time cover story earlier this month. “I’m not sure if I’m showing too much and pissing off some dads, Brads and Chads.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Taylor clarified the timeline of her romance with Travis, revealing that they “started hanging out right after” he “really adorably” called her on his podcast in July.

“We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for because we got to know each other,” she said. “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I guess some people think they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to initiate a first date.”
