Long and happy? The ultimatum: strange love came to Netflix in May 2023 and tested the relationship of five couples.
Just like in the first episode of the reality series – 2022 The ultimatum: get married or move on – one person from each couple participated in the social experiment and wanted to get married, while the other person had reservations about getting married.
The participants then chose new partners from the rest of the group and moved in together temporarily. At the end of the experiment, the original couples decided whether to marry or call it quits.
While season 2 of the Netflix show followed the same premise as its predecessor, Strange love featured an all-LGBTQ+, predominantly female cast. Joanna Garcia Swisher also acted as host and took over Nick Lachey And Vanessa Lacheywho was at the head Get married or move on.
In a May 2023 interview with POPSUGARSwisher said that for all the drama of the show, the best part of her hosting experience was witnessing the love the couples had for each other.
“The bottom line of it is there’s so much love between the people who participated in the show, and it was just really amazing to see how vulnerable they were and how willing they were to go out there and experience the task,” said them against the exhaust.
A couple from the show, Sam Mark And Australian chau, feel “even more in love” after going through the experience together. “I’m really so lucky to be with this person,” Aussie shared tudum in June 2023, noting that Sam was one of the first people to “question” Aussie gender identity.
“She gave me that space to explore and I’m still exploring. Am I non-binary? Am I [a] trans man? Am I transmale? These are all things that weren’t in my vocabulary growing up. Having a partner to support me on that journey has given me the space to do that,” Aussie explained.
The couple takes their time planning their Aussie wedding, noting that their relationship is built on “so much more commitment than just a wedding.” The reality TV alum also revealed that Tiff Der And Vanessa Papa are the only ones Strange love alumni who can expect an invitation to the wedding.
As regards Mildred Woody, who was Aussie’s temporary partner during the social experiment, the duo are not currently in talks. “There’s still some healing for me to do on my end, and I’m getting there,” Aussie explained.
