Tragic detail in the kidney battle of Disney presenter Jeniene Mapp-Testa at the end of Saturday
The husband of Disney host Jeniene Mapp-Testa has revealed the one thing she hoped to accomplish before dying of kidney failure in October at the age of 49.
Her husband Lincoln, 62, revealed New idea magazine this week that Jeniene always wanted to see her son, 19, walk down the aisle and start a family – but tragically never did.
‘Her biggest regret was not seeing Ben get married or have children. Ben was the love of her life,” he said.
‘Jeniene was so strong, but she decided that this was it, she couldn’t fight anymore.’
Lincoln, who runs a popular cafe on the Gold Coast, married Jeniene in 1997 and welcomed their son Ben in February 2004.

The presenter will be farewelled in a private service on Friday at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church in Brisbane, the same place where Jeniene and Lincoln were married.
Jeniene died on November 20 after ongoing dialysis treatment, after failing to undergo a necessary kidney transplant.
Mapp-Testa was an original host of Saturday Disney from 1990 alongside James Sherry and Sofie Formica.

She worked at Disney Australia for 14 years before launching Disney Channel in Australia, where she hosted Studio D and Playhouse Disney from 1997 to 2003.
Mapp-Testa often documented her dialysis treatment on social media, thanking hospital staff for making her birthday “so special” in her latest Instagram post.
Fellow television presenter Shelley Craft shared a tribute to the star via social media on Sunday.
Craft took over hosting duties from Mapp-Testa on Saturday Disney in 1996.
