She said air passengers who “love excitement” should try to book last minute to save as much as 20 percent on flights.

She begins: ‘Am I the only one who just discovered that booking your trips last minute can actually be cheaper than booking well in advance? Because that is certainly good to know.

“Nearly 70 percent of us plan to travel this holiday season, so let’s talk about some good tricks to keep in mind.”

Maya continues: ‘They say the early bird gets the worm, but people have reported saving up to 20 percent if they book flights on the day.

‘It’s definitely a gamble, but if you like suspense, this hack might be for you.

‘The cheapest days to fly are usually Tuesday and Wednesday, but even cheaper than that is flying on real holidays – and it’s pretty cool to say you flew at the same time as Santa.’

But the content creator doesn’t stop there and she adds a whole host of other tips: ‘Save space in your luggage by wearing your largest holiday sweater during the flight.

‘Not only are you the most stylish passenger, you also don’t have to pay for extra luggage.

Maya further noted that while you may want to go on a ‘thrill’ quest by booking last minute, you should always opt to insure your trip to protect yourself from any delays or weather conditions.
