Concerns about the well-being of Mr. Baird26, and his partner Luke Davies, 29, were first made public after the couple’s blood-covered belongings were found in a bin and a bullet cartridge at Mr Baird’s home.

A text message Mr Baird sent to Lamarre-Condon reportedly read: “I would appreciate it if you don’t contact me.”

Police have claimed that Mr Baird’s murder was premeditated by Lamarre-Condon and that Mr Davies’ death was the result of him being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Deputy Commissioner Michael Fitzgerald told Channel Nine that police believed Lamarre-Condon went looking for Mr Baird last Monday and also found Mr Davies on the Paddington property.

He said: “We will vigorously argue in our case that this murder was premeditated, and that the second murder occurred because of Luke’s appearance in the house.”
