UK Weather: Met Office issues ice warning as temperature drop brings SNOW – after heavy rain leads to flooding
BRITISH people are being told to brace for snow after forecasters issued an ice warning and warned temperatures will drop.
The cold get it comes after heavy rain led to flooding across Britain over the weekend, causing chaos housesroads and railways.
Northern Ireland is placed under yellow weather ice warning until 9:30 am this morning.
The With office warn that this could lead to difficult travel conditions as icy patches cover the roads.
Meanwhile, tonight's cold weather means the rest of Britain could be hit with a layer of the white stuff as temperatures could soar by up to 2 degrees Celsius in summer. Aberdeen.
The day will start sunny and mild for most, before the mercury drops later this evening.
Forecasters say tonight will start with “clear spells and showers,” with rain “most widespread and stormy in the northwest, with snow on high ground.”
They added: “Sleeping frost and ice. Rain will arrive later in the far southwest.”

It comes as there are still 83 “expected” flood warnings and 236 “possible” flood warnings in force. England after the weekend rain showers.
And this isn't the end of the rain, as heavy showers are forecast for the rest of the week.
The Met Office says there will be “heavy, stormy showers across the far north” tomorrow, while sunshine and isolated showers will occur elsewhere.

And Wednesday through Friday will be “generally unsettled,” with “wet and fairly windy weather” affecting most areas at times.
