Urgent hunt for teen, 19, after woman gets ‘ammonia’ in the face after police issue ‘do not approach’ warning – The Sun

Police are hunting a ‘substance’ attacker after a woman was reportedly doused in the face with a corrosive liquid.

The 30-year-old was taken away Hopital but was not seriously injured and has since been discharged.

Officers rushed to an address in Fleetwood, LancsSunday around 1:30 p.m., where they found the woman.

They think she was attacked and did so ammonia thrown at her at a property on Whinfield Road.

Police say they want to speak to 19-year-old Mickey Blundell after Sunday’s ‘targeted’ attack.

Det Insp Kirsty Wyatt, from Lancashire Police, said: “It is only a matter of luck that this victim did not suffer more serious injuries and we are treating this extremely seriously.

“We are conducting our own investigation to locate the suspect, but we would also like to ask for the public’s help in finding him.

“If anyone sees Blundell or knows where he may be, I would ask them not to approach him but to contact police as soon as possible.”
