Weather in Britain: Brits brace for MORE rain as country hits flood warnings and Met Office warns of 'huge shift' this weekend
Brits are bracing for more rain as the country is hit by flood warnings and the Met Office predicts a “huge shift” this weekend.
The Environment Agency has issued 13 “expected” flood warnings warnings and 132 “possible” flood warnings England.
South-west England is likely to be hit by flooding, and some rivers could burst their banks Midlands.
There is a chance of more flooding in the South West and North West tomorrow – sparking trip chaos.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency has issued orange flood warnings AberdeenshireTayside, Dundee and Angus.
In Wales, orange flood warnings have also been issued for the south Pembrokeshire and the Thaw River.
With office expert Alex Burkill said that “a very active jet stream is developing in the Atlantic Ocean.”
The ocean explosion will bring more wet and windy weather to Britain, Burkill added.
But today will be mild and clear, with sunny spells for many, despite some showers in England Wales.
Clouds will thicken in the west overnight, showering Britain with drizzle and fog.
Tomorrow will be gray, with rain moving east and becoming heavy in the evening.
But Sunday and Monday will be dry with more spells of winter sunshine before the Atlantic explosion shakes the skies again.
