Wendy Williams is being treated for cognitive problems

Wendy WilliamsThe family confirmed that she is being treated for cognitive problems at an undisclosed facility.

“I spoke to her yesterday and I speak to her very regularly when she contacts me. She is, from what I understand, in a wellness, healing environment,” Williams' sister Wanda Finnie told People in an interview published on Wednesday, February 21.

Finnie said that although the family cannot contact Williams, she can contact them. She noted that Williams is “in a healing place emotionally.”

The interview comes days before Williams' documentary, Where is Wendy Williams?, premieres on Lifetime. (Williams, 59, is the film's executive producer.)

Finnie told the outlet that Williams is not “the person you see in this film,” noting that the former talk show host is now “remarkably different” from the person captured in the documentary.
