WHATSAPP has added a range of new codes that will transform the way users message.
The popular messaging app already allowed people to make changes, such as bold or italics, to make texts stand out.
You can even strikethrough words or spaces with monopause.
But now Meta’s app has added four brand new formatting shortcuts.
The first allows you to easily create bullet points, which is great for things like shopping lists.
WhatsApp will also create automatic number lists, a feature that can come in handy for instructions.
With Block Quote you can draw attention to certain messages.
And inline code is usually for geeky computing, but you can use it anytime to add a shaded background to a specific text.

How to use WhatsApp secret codes
In bold
To bold text in WhatsApp, simply add an asterisk * symbol at the beginning and end of the desired bit in bold.
Italic
You can italicize specific words and phrases by adding an underscore _ before and after.
Strike out
To strikethrough chunks of text, simply add a tilde ~ before and after text.
Monospace
To use monospace, place three backticks “` before and after the text.
Bullet points
To create a bulleted list on WhatsApp, just type a dash – and it will automatically be converted into a bullet point.
Numbered list
To start a numbered list on WhatsApp, first type ‘1’. and if you press the Return button, it will automatically follow with “2”. etc.
Block quote
To insert a block quote, add the greater-than sign > at the beginning.
Inline code
To add inline code, add a single backtick ‘ to the beginning and end of a message.
