New Delhi: Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, who is also known as India’s most wanted criminal, has been hospitalized in Karachi, Pakistan. Although not officially confirmed, it is reported that the head of D Company was allegedly poisoned in his residence by unknown men and fell unconscious; this is why he is admitted to a hospital. Media reports say Dawood Ibrahim is in critical condition and has been kept under tight guard on a separate floor. After news of Dawood Ibrahim’s hospitalization broke out, theories have emerged on the internet as to why the underworld don was ‘poisoned’. Terrorists killed in Pakistan – Dawood connection

A widely held theory says that in recent times, i.e. around the last two years, many terrorists hiding in Pakistan have been killed and all these terrorists are part of India’s ‘most wanted terrorists’ list. These terrorists were killed at different times in different cities and had previously been involved in terrorist activities in India. This seems to be a similar case but neither India nor Pakistan have confirmed the same. Some of the terrorists hiding in Pakistan, ‘most wanted’ in India, who have been killed before include:

• Riaz Ahmed alias Abu Qasima top terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba and key figure behind the Dhangri terror attack, was shot dead at point blank range at a mosque in Rawalkot.
• Shahid Latif aka Bilala designated terrorist of Jaish-e-Mohammed, who is believed to have masterminded the Pathankot attack on an Indian air base in 2016, was gunned down in Pathankot in October 2023 by ‘unidentified assailants’.
• Khwaja Shahid, the mastermind behind the Sunjuwan Terrorist Attack was found dead, beheaded in Athmuqam Sector, Neelum Valley, POK on November 6, 2023; he was a commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
• Adnan Ahmed, also known as Abu Hanzala, a top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba who was also a close aide of Hafiz, the mastermind of 26/11. Abu Hanzala was shot dead by ‘unidentified men’ earlier this month.

Earlier this year in January, Alishah Parkar, son of Haseena Parkar, and cousin of Dawood Ibrahim, had made sensational claims to the National Investigation Agency, stating that the fugitive underworld gangster had remarried a Pakistani Pathan woman while he was still was always married to his first wife Maizabin. Alishah laid out Dawood Ibrahim’s family tree and said the gangster’s first wife connects with people through WhatsApp.

According to Alishah Ibrahim Parkar, Dawood Ibrahim tells everyone that he divorced his first wife Maizabin to get married for the second time, but that is not the case. In addition, Dawood Ibrahim’s address has changed. Now he lives in the defense area near Rahim Faki, behind Abdullah Ghazi Baba Dargah in Karachi. Alishah’s statement further said that he met Dawood Ibrahim’s wife Maizabin in Dubai a few months ago in July 2022. He claimed that he had stayed at Zaitoon Hamid Antulay’s house in Dubai.” Dawood’s wife Maizabin even calls my wife at festivals and talks to my wife through WhatsApp conversations,” his statement said.

According to Alishah’s statement, Dawood has four brothers (five including himself) and four sisters. Dawood Ibrahim has remarried. His second wife is a Pakistani Pathan,” Alishah told NIA during the investigation. NIA had received information that Dawood Ibrahim is forming a special team, which can target major leaders and businessmen in the country. They can spread violence in big cities. During the investigation into the case, the NIA recorded the statement of Alishah Parkar, son of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar.

In a chargesheet filed by the NIA in the terror financing case, the agency has said that Alishah has detailed Dawood’s family tree in his statement claiming that the gangster has shifted himself to another location in Pakistan’s Karachi. The NIA had filed a case against Dawood Ibrahim and his close associates in the terror financing case and had also arrested some people.
