Wolves vs Man Utd example

Wolves welcome Manchester United to Molineux for this week's Premier League match.

The hosts, who lost manager Julen Lopetegui just days before the start of the season, have had a remarkable period under Gary O'Neil.

The Wanderers were one of the favorites for relegation and are now in eleventh place. With a win on Thursday, they can surpass their opponents in eighth place.

They have won four of their last six league matches and safely progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Wolves take on Manchester United, with manager Erik ten Hag claiming he can finally select his strongest XI for the first time in his two-year reign at Old Trafford.

Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw all got minutes in their 4-2 FA Cup win at Newport, while Harry Maguire and Andre Onana are both available.

It is unclear whether Marcus Rashford will feature after he was reported ill on Friday after reportedly spending the previous evening in a Belfast nightclub.

Wolves vs Man Utd betting tips

Low score

Goals could be scarce on Thursday.

There are never too many goals when the two meet, with only one of the last ten meetings having seen more than 2.5 goals scored, including two goalless draws and six 1-0 draws.

Their recent attacking statistics suggest a similar outcome, with only three teams putting in fewer efforts than Wolves (45) and Man Utd (43) in their last four league matches.

Shaw thing

Luke Shaw looks set to start this week after playing 82 minutes against Newport in the FA Cup.

The 28-year-old has played 912 competitive minutes in all competitions this season, yet still managed to record five cautions in that period.

He has been booked twice in his last three appearances, and has also been carded SIX times in 11 games against opponents Wolves – the most of any opponent he has faced.

  • Our tip: Luke Shaw carded at 5/2 with Paddy Power – DEMAND HERE

Errors)

Casemiro returned to action with a yellow card against Newport.

That means the Brazilian, 31, has been cautioned in each of his last three league games either side of his injury.

He committed four fouls against the League Two side, and is likely to commit more against tougher opposition under the floodlights at Molineux.
