A graduate has expressed her shock at being fired from her first job after just five days, as she angrily lashed out at bosses who she said had no idea “how to train her”.

Tennessee native Sierra Desiray Frederick, 22, posted a TikTok video explaining that she was “so super excited” when she got a job doing graphic design for a brand that produces prints for ALDI supermarkets.

Sierra said that after securing the position, she would undergo “five days of training” – but claimed that for most of her first week she actually “did nothing because [there were] two other people [her] team, and they didn't know how to train [her].'

Then, when she came to work for her sixth shift, the CEO handed her an envelope, along with the shocking news that she was being fired.

“We're letting you go,” she remembered the CEO telling her. 'It's just, you don't train. It does not work. We continue to look for someone.”

At this point, Sierra began ranting at the other members of the party, implying that their lack of understanding of how to train her was the cause of her release.

Sierra claimed in her video that the people in the company 'didn't know the training process' [her]', claiming that they regularly told her, 'I don't know what to give you to do today,' or, 'I don't know what to show you today.'

She further claimed that one day she came in and her trainers made her 'watch videos' [she’d] had been looking at things they were already going through with her for 'about three hours'.

She recalled that she “spent most of the time” [her] day staring at [her] computer that does nothing', which made her feel 'very useless' as an employee.

While feeling down, she texted her friend to 'join the conversation' [her] CEO or something because [she’s] learned nothing.'

Despite her desire to grow, she arrived at 7am. before her sixth shift, she received the shocking news from the CEO who was “sitting there with an envelope in his hand.

'He's looking at me. There are people in this room, a full room of people. Handed over [the envelope] to me and says, “We're letting you go, Sarah.”

Sierra replied to him, “Um okay. I was [here] for five days. I literally learned nothing.”

He continued, “Thanks for coming in.” You're not training. We'll continue searching,' and then he walked away.

Sierra shared with her followers, “This morning I drove 40 minutes to get fired from my job that I shouldn't have even started.

'I've been there for five days and the two people who were going to train me don't know how to train me.

'So I was fired. I love being an adult.”

She told her viewers that the CEO 'paid' [her] until the end of Friday,” even though she was fired on Tuesday.

Some of her followers offered explanations and suggestions for her situation.

One person wrote: 'It means an employee didn't sympathize with you. That's why they didn't really bother to train.”

Another person added: 'The lack of an onboarding process/scheme is a red flag for me now. If I don't get a schedule for the first week, I know you're a poorly run company.”

“Rejection is redirection babyyyy. “I always get excited when plans don't go the way I want because that means bigger and better,” said a third person.

One person suggested, “File unemployment!!!!!” I'm very sorry.'

Another commenter advised, “Honestly you should have demanded a one-on-one meeting with him. It's so unprofessional how they handled it without any explanation.”

“GLASSING BY BABE. GLASDOOR,” another follower wrote.

Other followers shared their similar experiences.

'This happened to me at a previous job. Trained incorrectly for five days and let go on the sixth day,” one person wrote.

Another commenter added, “Older millennial here. I love Gen Z. When this happened to me, I internalized it and thought I was the problem,” and then the creator responded, “Girl, there was no way you were the problem in a situation like this.”

A third person wrote, “I've had one of those experiences where I was hired, not trained, and fired within 30 days for asking questions.”

'Something like that happened to me too: I was fired after a month without training. No conversation, no report, no solution. I felt like I was losing my mind. I'm sorry this happened to you,” a fourth commenter wrote.

“I've been burned by big companies that drop the ball without onboarding. I learned to ask during job interviews what the onboarding process is,” adds another.
