THERE are so many products on the market that claim to meet our anti-aging needs.
So when Laura, 57, came across a £2 'facelift band' she initially thought it was “so stupid” before deciding she “had to try it”.
She documented trying the product for the first time in a year video on her TikTok page, as she said: “Let's see if this is going to give me a facelift in a few minutes for under £3.”
First, she had to figure out where she wanted to be pulled up, by pulling on different parts of her hair.
Once she found the piece of hair pulling her eyes up, she twisted it tight and used a hairpin to anchor it in place.
She then used the tool, which resembles a bra strap with combs on both ends.

Laura attached the comb to one side of her head and after going through the same process with the hair twist on the left side, she stretched it around her head and attached the comb there too.
Once it was in place, she could use the strap and pull it as tight as she wanted, just like a bra strap.
“Oh! Can you see that?” she wondered.
“Look at those hoods, they're up!”
Laura turned around to show what the band looked like at the back, before arranging the rest of her hair over it to completely hide the band.
“It may have taken me a little longer than three minutes, but a natural facelift (thumbs up),” she concluded.
“This facelift band really works!” she captioned the video.
People were quick to comment on the clip, with one person writing: “Holy cow, that actually worked pretty well!”
“I'm afraid he might jump loose and fly across the room at a dinner party!” another added.
“I did that with tape right before a zoom meeting,” said a third.
“Would you like to share it if it gives you a headache at the end of the day?” someone else asked.
To which Laura replied, “It's fine for a few hours. The whole day might be a bit much!”
“I think using it occasionally wouldn't be harmful,” wrote another.
“Like a special event or photos!”
As someone else agreed: “Perfect for a special occasion like a wedding where you just want to look fresh.”
“This is known in the UK as a 'council house facelift' – usually done with a too-tight high ponytail,” laughed another.
