A Woolworths worker who was crushed by falling pallets in a distribution center has died.

The major workplace incident occurred at about 3:30pm Tuesday at the Woolworths Distribution Center in Minchinbury in western Sydney.

Three workers, aged between 20 and 30, were hit by falling pallets and pinned to the ground in the middle.

It is clear that a 37-year-old man was crushed by the pallets and the other two were injured after coming to the aid of their colleague.

NSW Police confirmed on Wednesday that the man had died after being taken to hospital.

The three employees suffered head injuries and were rushed to Westmead Hospital after the incident.

One of the men was flown to hospital, while the other two were transported by ambulance in a serious but stable condition.

The two men have since been released from the hospital.

A Primary Connect spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia the injured workers were being ‘supported’.

“Three team members from our regional distribution center in Sydney were transported to hospital this afternoon following an incident,” they said.

“We support the team members and their families.”
