Wooroloo shooting: Residents urged to ‘lock your doors’ as police descend on suburb after gun-toting incident

Residents of a Perth suburb have been warned to lock their doors as specialist police respond to an ongoing gun incident.

It is understood a man was shot at the intersection of Needham Road and Marauba Close, in Wooroloo, about 55km east of Perth’s CBD, at around 9am on Saturday.

There is a significant police presence in the area, including several specialist units.

St. Johns paramedics and a rescue helicopter responded to the incident.

Residents are advised to stay indoors and keep their doors locked as the situation develops.

Any suspicious activity must be reported immediately to the police on triple-0.
