2 Arrested for the murder of INLD leader Nafe Singh, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s name surfaces

Unconfirmed reports from the scene say Rathee was shot in the same manner that famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was killed in May 2022.

Nafe Singh murder case: Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of INLD leader Nafe Singh.

Nafe Singh Rathee, the Haryana chief of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), was shot dead in Haryana’s Bahadurgarh on Sunday. One party worker was reportedly killed in the gunfight.

Reacting to the fatal attack on Nafe Singh Rathee, Jhajjar SP Arpit Jain said on Sunday: “We have received information about a shooting incident. The CIA and STF teams are working. The suspect will be arrested soon.”

Unconfirmed reports from the scene say Rathee was shot in the same manner that famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was killed in May 2022.

According to CCTV footage of the incident, four gunmen had arrived in a car. Rathi was also in his car when the gunmen fired 40 to 50 shots at Rathee’s car, INLD spokesperson Amandeep said the former MLA received death threats and he was also attacked in the past.

Demands were made for security cover for Rathee, but the Haryana government did not take any action on it.

He was accompanied by his cousin Rajesh at the time of the incident. It is alleged that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was behind Rathee’s murder.
