LadBaby Mum – aka Roxanne Hoyle – took her Instagram stories to share the £3.50 must-have.

“I found this ice cube imitation for £3 at Primark,” she wrote at the top of the clip.

“Honestly, if you wake up with a puffy face or just suffer from hormone-affected skin, this is for you!”

She demonstrated how she filled the device with water and then placed it in the freezer.

The next morning she took it out of the freezer, removed the lid, and slowly wiped the ice cube across her face.

Rox then showed a before and after look at the effect the ice packs had on her skin – from her “puffy face in the morning” to her “glowing face while running around the school”.

Ice skating has become extremely popular in recent months due to the many benefits it offers.

According to Beauty Bay, ice rollers can “stimulate blood circulation in the face,” bringing “oxygen and nutrients to the surface,” resulting in a “radiant complexion.”

The ice also helps to shrink the capillaries and tighten the pores on the face, allowing skin care products to penetrate deeper into the skin.

And one of the biggest benefits, as Rox found, is that the swelling goes down.

LadBaby Mum shares the handbag-sized Primark product that keeps her flyaways in place for hours, and it costs just £2

“The massaging motion of cooling your face stimulates lymphatic drainage, which reduces fluid retention, which is exactly what you need to reduce facial puffiness,” explains Chloe Loizou of Beauty Bay.

“It works especially well against puffy eyes. Gently massage the ice cubes in circular motions around your eyes, enjoy the soothing feeling and wait for the result to be visible.”

Miami dermatologist Annie Gonzalez advises when to use an ice roller. She says it should be part of your daily skin care routine.

Best beauty dupes

Fabulous’ beauty editor Tara Ledden revealed which budget versions of your favorite beauty products you need in your closet.

“According to new research from Elf Cosmetics, a whopping 55% of us want to spend less on our beauty routines. It’s no wonder that there are millions of #dupe videos on TikTok.

“While some counterfeit products are easily identified by their similar packaging, they often fall short when it comes to their contents.

“In fact, some of the best imitations look nothing like the luxury product they mimic. And trust me, those are the imitations you want.”

REAL: Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer, £32.50 DUPE: Natural Collection Bronzer, £3.50, a saving of £29. The Natural Collection Bronzer is available in more shades, although there is no mirror in the compact.

REAL: Milk Make-up Hydro-Grip Primer, £35 DUPE: Elf Power Grip Primer, £10. These two have a similar green tint and the same long-lasting, mattifying properties. However, Elf’s is so popular that it’s just as hard to get hold of.

REAL: Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick, £28 DUPE: L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Satin Lipstick Beige A Now, £8.99. The shades of these two lipsticks look virtually identical on the lips. The Charlotte Tilbury lipstick is matte, but the L’Oreal Paris Lipstick has a satin finish. This makes it more comfortable to wear all day.

REAL: Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation, £40 DUPE: Collection Lasting Perfection Matte Foundation, £6.99 Although they don’t look the same on the outside, the formula, consistency and longevity of both foundations are pretty much the same. Unfortunately, Collection only comes in 20 shades, while Estee Lauder has 60.

REAL: Glossier Boy Brow, £20 DUPE: Essence Make Me Brow Gel, £2.50 There’s a whole Reddit thread dedicated to this dupe, so you know it’s got to be good. They both have a waxy consistency and added fibres to make brows appear fuller. I have to say the shade range is much better with Boy Brow, but if you’re a tanner there are plenty of Essence shades to try.

“I recommend using an ice roller to spread the products over all areas of your face,” she explains.

“For example, you can apply a moisturizer or serum to your face and then use an ice roller to blend the product under your eyes, on your forehead, on your temples, on your cheeks, and so on.

“Massaging the face with the ice roller allows the local product to be better absorbed into the skin.”
