An investigation is underway after a Boeing plane was found to be missing an external panel after a short flight.
The plane landed safely, but the missing section was not noticed by the crew during the 90-minute journey.

It was noticed during an inspection after the 25-year-old’s flight Boeing 737-800 airplanes.

The US airport paused operations to check the runway and airfield for debris, but nothing was found.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
United said: “We will thoroughly examine the aircraft and make all repairs before returning it to service.”
Boeing made no comment.
The manufacturer has been shocked by several incidents in recent months.
In January, a door was blown off one of the 737 MAX planes mid-flight.
In recent weeks, one lost a tire after takeoff, another rolled off the runway and a third made an emergency landing with an engine fire.
