An out-of-control bushfire in Perth's south is threatening people at an ice rink and a theme park.

An emergency warning has been issued for Cockburn Ice Arena and Adventure World at Bibra Lake in the town of Cockburn.

People at the locations have been asked to take shelter.

“You are in danger and must act immediately to survive,” the fire and emergency services alert said late Tuesday.

“There is a threat to lives and homes.”

Firefighters fight the fire with support from water bombers.

A watch and action warning has been issued for people in some suburbs and a park adjacent to the emergency area.

Adventure World is closed on Tuesdays, but the ice skating rink is open until 10pm during the week.

The temperature reached 38 degrees Celsius on Tuesday with wind speeds of up to 30 km/h.

In January 2021, a patch of grass caught fire at Adventure World.
