Futuristic phone has NO apps and uses groundbreaking technology to do everything for you
A FUTURISTIC smartphone with no apps on it and one that relies entirely on AI has been unveiled.
The strange concept is pitched as an “AI concierge” that does pretty much everything a smartphone can do for you, largely using speech.
Instead of scrolling through apps, the AI phone – officially called the T Phone – magically creates interfaces when prompted.
The device is just a concept for now, but developers Deutsche Telekom, in collaboration with leading chipmaker Qualcomm and Brain.ai, hope it can pave the way for an app-free future.
All you have to do is tap an AI icon on the home screen or the power button and the technology will get to work.
An early version of the device was shown this week during a major event in Barcelona.
The demonstration shows how a user can ask the AI to book a flight or find gifts for a loved one.
It can also generate images and share them for you on social media.
According to PC MagSome apps are actually on the smartphone, but only the AI can communicate with them.
“Smartphones have brought us the apps we love today,” said Sean Seaton of Deutsche Telekom.

Previously, company CEO Tim Hoettges said that in five to 10 years, “none of us will be using apps anymore.”
